I strive to provide the highest quality eggs, check fertility regularly, and ship eggs in the most effective manner possible to help ensure that they arrive in good condition, but I do not guarantee hatchability due to the inherent risk of shipping. Eggs can be damaged during shipping, subject to temperature extremes, x-rays, etc. which can negatively effect hatch rates. These are issues beyond my control and are an inherent risk of mailed hatching eggs.

These are first generation (F1) hybrids of a blue egg gene hen, (Cream Legbar) and brown egg gene rooster, (Black Copper Marans) which creates a cross that lays a unique olive green egg. Also known as MarsBars, this cross is a popular hybrid that is guaranteed to produce olive green eggs.
As for the “F1 hybrid” part, F1 means first-generation cross: a rooster of one breed (in this case, a dark brown egg layer) is mated with hens of another breed (blue egg layers). The result is a healthy, vigorous flock with predictable traits, like green eggs, plus a bit of that hybrid vigor that keeps them strong and productive.
