Meet our Moss Eggers, the F1 hybrid green egg layer that’s a clever little creation for anyone who wants something a bit different in their flock.
You will receive BROWN eggs. The chickens you hatch will lay varied shades of GREEN eggs. These are first generation (F1) hybrids of a blue egg gene rooster, Crested Cream Legbar, and brown egg gene hens, our own line of production hens bread for egg production and a friendly, curious temperment.
These birds sport a striking mix of colors and barring, with small toupe like crests, giving them a bold, eye-catching look that pairs nicely with their mossy green eggs. Roosters often carry a bit more flair in pattern and color, while hens tend to have a softer, earthier palette.
When it comes to egg production, these hybrids are consistent layers of large green eggs, adding a touch of whimsy to your breakfast.
