Eggs are shipped USPS Priority Mail within 1 week of when you place your order. Eggs usually arrive within 5 days of shipping, but delivery time is dependent on the USPS and is out of our control. We pack our eggs carefully to minimize movement and ensure the best chances of them arriving in good condition. Eggs are wrapped individually in bubble wrap, and shipped in a large priority mail box to ensure adequate room for padding around the carton.

There are no guarantees or refunds on hatching eggs. Please buy only if you are willing to risk that they may not hatch. 

We strive to provide the highest quality eggs, check fertility regularly, and ship eggs in the most effective manner possible to help ensure that they arrive in good condition, but we do not guarantee hatchability due to the inherent risk of shipping. Eggs can be damaged during shipping, subject to temperature extremes, x-rays, etc. which can negatively effect hatch rates. These are issues beyond our control and are an inherent risk of mailed hatching eggs.

We do want you to have a great hatching experience, so please let us know if you have any questions or challenges with hatching. We recommend doing some test hatching with local eggs in your incubator to get a feel for the process before incubating shipped eggs, as they can be more of a challenge and more susceptible to poor hatch rates due to incubation inconsistencies if their air sacs are damaged or detached during shipping.

Live Chick Guarantee– we will replace any chicks that arrive dead, or die within 24 hours of delivery, in an on-time shipment (chicks only, shipping charges apply to replacement birds) if you provide pictures of the loss the day you receive your package. We do not offer any other refunds or replacements for birds lost when shipping is delayed as USPS delays are our of our control. We will work with you to file a claim for postal insurance if your package is delayed, lost, or damaged.

We will replace any chicks or started pullets purchased locally if they die within 24 hours of purchase. We do not offer any other refunds or replacements for birds lost after 24 hours from purchase, or for birds lost because of injury, attack, or improper care.

There is a 5 chick order minimum on shipped chicks to ensure they have the best chance of survival during shipment. You may order different breeds to meet the minimum.

There is no order minimum on local pickup chicks.

Egg orders can not be canceled, and once shipped can not be refunded for any reason. If for some unforeseen reason we are unable to ship your order within 1 week we will contact you and either ship as soon as possible or refund your purchase price.

Chick PREORDERS can be canceled and refunded up to 3 weeks before the hatch date. Within 3 weeks of your hatch date there are no refunds made as we have already allocated incubator space to your order.
